Ken Hom teams up with Rice for Life

01 05 2014

Chef Ken Hom is supporting Rice for Life, a charity project headed up by basmati rice brand Laila Rice which intends to donate one million servings of rice to the hungry via UK foodbanks and non-governmental organisations in India and Africa.

The Trussell Trust, which revealed last month that the amount of people in Britain forced to rely on emergency food tripled to one million last year, is one of Laila's key distributing partners. Other famous faces backing the campaign include Hom's fellow chefs Cyrus Todiwala and Anjum Anand, and London Food Board chair Rosie Boycott.
